That would be great. We follow the AQA Philosophy specification which incorporates ethics as well as theory of knowledge and one text (probably Sartre). Maybe we could see when our lessons are timetabled and even use Skype sometimes??

I'm also hoping to get some of my classes blogging next year ... perhaps we could encourage our sixth formers to visit each other's blogs? We teach OCR Philosophy and Ethics ... what syllabus and specifications do you teach?

Jo, you should open the file in Quicktime Player and then export it to avi and all will be well. Please upload it onto google video and then place it on your blog so that we can see it.

Jo it is great to see that you are feeling more confident. How about looking at ways to establish a blogging hub before the end of term so that students are involved in it right from the start of term. Any thoughts? Let me know when you have more of an idea about your timetable.

Great C U on Monday if not on Tuesday with your outcomes. Remember no one expects that you have tried everything but coming with lots of questions and ideas is really important.

Jo I think that having a specific task to do will really help focus your use of the software. Have you thought about using one or two pictures of philosophers and getting them to pose questions using Crazy Talk. You could then develop that into mindmapping using OpenMind. The outcome could be either a podcast based on their own thoughts on the topic or an imove piece using pictures and audio. One last point try www.spresent.com. It's an online slide show producer with some very clever ideas. Once registered (free) the students can work on any computer capable of accessing the internet. C U Tuesday or Monday night if you are attending the dinner!
